Instrumentation to open:

– Orange Straight Catheter cut into two 3” pieces and place on stylet.

Preferences:
– Workhorse Debakeys
– Mayo past the foot of table to maximize space
– If “Grand Slam” wire is used, don’t pull the tip of the wire, push through and grab past the tip and pull.
Procedure:
– Dissect down with 10 blade, cautery, workhorse debakey’s, metz, and weitlanner.
– Keep 5-0 Prolene on hand and ready to go.
– Have right angle, umbilical tapes, white vessel loops, 2-0 silk ties, and stylet ready.
– Repeat on opposite side.
– Entry needle, J-Wire, Sheath, Glide Cath, Glide Wire, Torque Device, and Meyer Wires
