What to expect during Sacral Neuromodulation Stage 2
The patient is Prone. Laparotomy drape with 4 towels. Rep with supplies. Blades: #11 & #15. Suture: 3-0 Vicryl & 4-0 Monocryl. This procedure is much shorter than the Stage 1 procedure; maybe 15-20 minutes. No X-ray is needed for this procedure.

2- 11 blade to cut open the previous incision.
-pull out the extension cable & cut tubing with scissors

3- Mini screwdriver to free lead & extension pulled free *hold lead to side
4- Army-Navy or Senn to hold open incision
-incision made deeper with cautery to make room for the battery pack
5- Wound is irrigated with ancef solution & suctioned as needed
6- Battery pack is attached to the lead & placed in the pocket & incision is closed with Vicryl & Monocryl. (Pickups)
7- Closing count
8- Wet & Dry to clean the incision site
9- Dressings applied 1/2″ Steri-Strips, Benzoin, & 4×4 Tegaderm
