What to expect during Septoplasty

Septoplasty is a surgical procedure that is performed to straighten the septum of the nose, which is the wall that separates the nostrils. The surgery is done to improve breathing, reduce snoring, and alleviate symptoms associated with a deviated septum, such as congestion and headaches.     What size suture in the plain gut is used? and this is used to secure the nasal splints, when used, as well correct?

      4-0 or 5-0 gut suture is used to close the incision, and commonly a 3-0 Nylon is used to suture the splints in place.
