Anoscope
Short metal or plastic tube (a circumferential speculum) for the anal canal, with a rounded central obturator that fills the tube for insertion.

Retracting and viewing the anal canal and lower rectum. The obturator is in place for insertion and then removed. It is the first item on the basic rigid sigmoidoscopy tray.

Jarit 475-150 small 60 x 16 mm, 475-152 medium 70 x 19 mm, 475-155 large 90 x 24 mm, with matching replacement obturators 475-OBT-150/-152/-155. Teleflex 202095-202097: tip diameter 16, 19 or 22 mm, 6.5-7 cm. Fansler-Ives anoscope: 3 1/4 in, plastic obturator, 1 1/4 in outside diameter.
