Rigid Telescope
A rigid telescope: a slim stainless-steel shaft holding a chain of precisely aligned glass lenses, with light fibers between the inner and outer tubes. It has a light post for the light cord and an eyepiece that couples to the camera. The lens angle at the tip sets the direction of view.

Lets the surgeon see inside a joint (arthroscopy) or the nose and sinusSY-nusA hollow space in the body, most often one of the air-filled spaces in the skull bones around the nose.Full entry , connected to the light source and camera. Turning an angled scope shows more of the space.
Lengths and variants
Arthroscopes: 4.0 mm is standard, with 2.7 mm and 1.9 mm scopes for small joints such as the wrist; 25 and 30 degree views are most common, and 70 degrees is used to see around corners. Sinuscopes: 4 mm at 0, 30, 45 or 70 degrees, with 2.7 mm and 1.9 mm versions (Olympus).
