Bowman Lachrymal Probe
Also called Lacrimal Dilators, Duct Probes
A thin wire probe on each side of a flat, diamond-shaped center plate; the wire on one end is larger than on the other. The plate is used to hold and steady the probe.

What this instrument is on the table to do.
Probes and gradually stretches the tear (lacrimal) duct. It is also used to open the salivary duct under the tongue. In DCR it is passed into the lacrimal sac to show where to cut.

Made in sets of six, each probe double-ended: 0000-000, 00-0, 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8. About 4-7/8 to 5-1/8 in (12.5-13 cm), in sterling silver or stainless steel.
