Ring-handled needle holder with a ratchet and straight, narrow jaws that taper to a blunt tip. The jaws are cross-serrated with a center groove. It is lighter than a Mayo-Hegar needle holder.

Primary uses

Holds needles carrying lightweight to intermediate-weight suture. Two are on the craniotomy tray, the basic plastic tray and pediatric trays, next to the Crile-Wood needle holders.
