Cystoscope Sheath
Also called Cystoscope / Urethroscope Sheath, Cystoscope Sheath and Obturator
A hollow stainless steel tube with a rounded tip and opening at the far end. The near end has the entry port for the obturator, bridge, telescope and instruments, plus a stopcock on each side for irrigation. The obturator is a removable rod with a smooth rounded end that fills the sheath tip for insertion.

Sized on the French scale. Diagnostic sheaths are about 15-17 Fr; therapeutic sheaths go up to about 28 Fr. A 21 Fr sheath is the most widely used.
