Single-patient stapler with a curved head that cuts and staples tissue in one firing. The jaw has a ridged gripping surface; it can be reloaded and fired more than once.

Primary uses

What this instrument is on the table to do.

Low anterior resection and sigmoid colectomy: the surgeon finds the distal margin and transects the rectum low in the pelvis with it, where a straight stapler is hard to angle. The proximal sigmoid is then divided with a straight GI linear stapler.

Sizes & variants

The lengths, angles and patterns it comes in.

Two staple reloads: standard and thick tissue.
