Heaney Hysterectomy Forceps
Also called Hyster clamps
A heavy, ring-handled clamp with a ratchet, straight or curved. The jaws have horizontal (crosswise) serrations along their full length and a blunt single or double tooth near the tip.

Clamps the vessels and ligaments around the uterus during abdominal or vaginal hysterectomy, before they are cut and tied.

Codman: curved, 210 mm (about 8 1/4 in) with 38 mm jaws; light jaws with one tooth, or heavy jaws with one or two teeth. Jarit also makes a Cardio-Grip serrated version, 9 in (229 mm) straight or 8 3/4 in (222 mm) curved. Trays usually carry both straight and curved.
