Cutting tip that attaches to the handpiece of a high-speed power drill. Many shapes and sizes are made, often disposable.

Primary uses

Removing or trimming bone. In hip hemiarthroplasty the burrs are set up with the high-speed drill, drill bits, reamers, chuck and key. In neurosurgery burrs on a high-speed drill make burr holes and cut bone.
