A double-ended instrument with a flat handle. One end is a rounded, slightly sharp dissecting blade; the other end curves into a lip used as a pillar retractor.

Bluntly dissects the tonsil from its bed and retracts the tonsillar pillar or soft palate during tonsillectomy and other mouth procedures.
