Leg Holder

Leg Prep Holder · Leg Prep Stand · Limb Holder · Limb Prepper · Leg Positioner

A stainless steel post with a padded cradle or loop at the top that holds the leg up by the heel or ankle. Most clamp to the side rail of the OR table and adjust in height; some stand on their own wheeled base.

  • What it’s for

    Holds the leg up off the table during the skin prep and draping for leg and foot cases (for example bunion and hallux rigidus surgery, or a leg bypass), so no one has to hold the leg while it is prepped from the toes up.

  • Lengths and variants

    Table-mounted single loop or cradle holders, stand-alone floor stands, and picket-fence types that hold both legs. Positioning leg holders for arthroscopy and fracture work (well leg holders) are a different type meant to stay on for the case.
