Magna Close Trocar and Sleeve

Official 1 photo

A reusable stainless steel laparoscopic port: a sharp-tipped trocar that fits inside a metal sleeve (cannula). The sleeve has a magnetic plate valve and a stopcock insufflation port.

Primary uses

What this instrument is on the table to do.

Makes a port through the abdominal wall. The surgeon pushes the assembled trocar and sleeve through a small incision, then removes the trocar so the scope and instruments can pass through the sleeve.

Sizes & variants

The lengths, angles and patterns it comes in.

Sleeve diameters 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12 mm; standard 110 mm or extra-long 150 mm (Millennium). Pyramidal, conical and blunt trocars are made; the photo shows a pyramidal tip. The sleeve comes apart into three pieces: lower cannula housing, upper housing and valve plate.
