A ring-handled, ratcheted needle holder with straight, fairly broad jaws, rounded at the tip, with a criss-cross (diamond) grip pattern and a center groove. Gold rings mean tungsten carbide jaw inserts.

Primary uses

Holds medium to heavy curved needles, mostly for closing fascia and other tough layers. The length is chosen by the depth of the wound.
