Two polyethylene rings, each fitted with a circle of stainless steel pins, loaded in an applier instrument. Rings come in many sizes.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
Joining small vessels, mainly veins, in free flap surgery. Each vessel end is threaded through a ring and everted onto the pins; closing the instrument locks the pins together so the inner linings meet. The rings stay in as a permanent implant.
