What it’s for
Placed under the patient to lift, tilt or support one part of the body. A bump under one hip or flank tilts the patient toward the other side. Under the shoulder blades it extends the neck (thyroid, tonsilTON-sulOne of the masses of lymph tissue at the back of the throat that help fight germs entering the mouth and nose.Full entry and airway cases). Under the upper chest in lateral position it protects the brachial plexusPLEK-susA network of nerves or blood vessels that branch and join together.Full entry (axillary roll). Two parallel chest rolls in prone position leave room for the chest and belly to move with breathing.
Lengths and variants
Adult and pediatric sizes, round or half-round, and in several lengths and heights. Blanket rolls can be made to any size.
