  • What it’s for

Four towels are placed around the incision to square off the site before an incise drape or the main drape goes on. In obstetric cases they are pulled to wrap and hold the baby (for example in a breech presentationBREECH prez-en-TAY-shunA position of the fetus in which the buttocks or feet, instead of the head, are lowest in the uterus.Full entry delivery), and a warm, moist sterile towel is used to compress an inverted uterus until it is replaced.

  • Lengths and variants

Common size 17 x 26 inches; packs of 2, 4 or 12 and more. Prewashed cotton, low lint.
