SureForm Stapler

A single-use robotic wristed stapler for da Vinci X and Xi, used through a 12 mm stapler cannula (the SureForm 30 is 8 mm). Reloads are color-coded by staple height and each fires once.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
Robotic stapling instead of a laparoscopic stapler held by the assistant: dividing bowel, stomach, mesentery or vessels. The port that will carry it must be a 12 mm cannula, so port plans are made ahead; one gastric bypass group places a 12 mm robotic port in the right anterior axillary line so all firings go through it. Have several reloads ready for a bowel resection.
