Vasoview Short Port Blunt Tip Trocar
Also called Short Port Blunt Tip Trocar, Btt
A short-port blunt tip trocar (BTT) with a clear flexible CO2 insufflation port that has a one-way valve, a balloon that is filled with air from a syringe, and swappable seals: it comes with the Endoscope Seal on, and a Harvesting Cannula Seal is used later.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
After the scope with Dissection Tip has been advanced about 4 cm along the vessel, the BTT is slid into the incision. CO2 runs through its port at 3-5 L/min and 10-12 mmHg to make and hold the tunnel. The endoscope, and later the harvesting cannula, pass through it. If pressure will not hold, its balloon is filled with the least air needed (0-25 cc); a purse-string suture can seal obvious leaks. At the end the balloon is let down and it is removed.
