A small double-spring clip for cerebral vessels, straight (about 6 mm) or curved (about 7 mm), in temporary and permanent styles. It is put on with its own applier: a spring-handled, locking, bayonet forceps (about 8 in) with cupped tips made only for Yasargil clips.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
Clips cerebral aneurysms and vessels in neurosurgery. In the Norwood procedure it is borrowed to occlude the ePTFE shunt graft: after the graft-to-artery anastomosis, and again near the right subclavian artery before the graft is sewn to the pulmonary artery.

Straight 6 mm and curved 7 mm clips; applier 8 in. Titanium clips are nonmagnetic, made for permanent use, and safe in MRI; titanium clips are applied with titanium forceps.
