Trochanteric Nail (Gamma Nail)

An intramedullary fixation procedure used to stabilize intertrochanteric or subtrochanteric fractures of the femur. A metal rod is inserted into the medullary canal and secured with a lag screw through the femoral neck and head to facilitate anatomical alignment and healing.
