A 2.4 mm screwdriver with a holding sleeve that grips the screw. It takes the 2.4 mm/3.0 mm cruciform screwdriver blade.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
Intermaxillary fixation. An 8 mm or 12 mm IMF screw is loaded and driven into the maxilla (and mandible) until the screw shoulder is just short of compressing the mucosa. The cruciform slots on the screw head are used to turn the cross-holes in line with the occlusal plane for wiring.
