Cup Bolt Impactor
An acetabular cup impactor that connects to the cup through a separate threaded bolt. Made in curved and straight versions and used with Stryker Trident and Tritanium cups.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
Impacting the acetabular cup in direct anterior hip replacement. The cup goes in by hand or already on the impactor, the final angle is set, and the cup is impacted. The impactor can be taken off while the bolt stays in the cup, so the cup angle can be checked and the impactor put back on. It is then used to unscrew the bolt.
