Fine middle-ear microinstrument: a needle tip with a light curve on a long handle. Some patterns have a dull (blunt) point.

Primary uses

What this instrument is on the table to do.

Tympanoplasty and myringoplasty: elevates the canal skin, removes the epithelium around the edges of the eardrum perforation to prepare it for the graft, works in the middle ear with other microinstruments, and helps position the graft. In mastoid work it can be used to probe and identify structures.

Integra MicroFrance 3722056 needle, light curve, dull. The ear procedures tray carries one curved needle along with a Rosen (House-Rosen) needle, a Paparella straight needle and a heavy needle.
