Cushing Tissue Forceps
Also called Cushing Forceps, Cushing Thumb Tissue Forceps
Light to medium-weight thumb forceps about 7 in long with fine 1x2 teeth at the tips. The handle is grooved for the thumb and index finger, and the back end is beveled as a scraper for blunt dissection.

Holds very delicate tissue during dissection and suturing. Common in neurosurgery.

Straight patterns about 6 3/4 to 7 3/4 in (171 to 200 mm) with 1.5 to 2 mm tips. Also made with a Gutsch handle, with serrated tips (dressing pattern), and in bayonet form; the bayonet versions have their own pages.
