A 4.2 mm drill sleeve, the middle tube of the three-part trocar assembly that sits inside the protection sleeve in the aiming arm.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
Guides the 4.2 mm calibrated drill bit for proximal locking; it must touch the near cortex before drilling. The screw length is read from the bit at the back of the drill sleeve. With the drill bit in it, it is also used to project the screw path on the C-arm.
