A fine, angled ear suction tube with a second, smaller irrigation tube running along it, so it can rinse and suction at the same time. It has a thumb plate with a cut-off hole for controlling suction, a separate fitting for the irrigation line and a wire stylet.

Suctions and irrigates at the same time to keep the field clear in ear surgery. It gives a fine stream of saline or lactated Ringer's, removes bone fragments and cools the drill bit while the surgeon drills bone, as in a mastoidectomy.
