Long, cylindrical, single-use stapler with a detachable anvil head. It fires a circular, double-staggered row of titanium staples, and a circular knife inside the head trims the excess tissue at the same time. Made curved or straight.
Primary uses

Creates end-to-end, end-to-side or side-to-side anastomoses in the GI tract, open or laparoscopic; common in resection and re-joining of the distal colon or rectum (low anterior resection, sigmoid colectomy), where it is passed through the anus. Sizers are used first to choose the diameter.
