Isolator Synergy Ablation Clamp
Also called Isolator clamp
A bipolar radiofrequency ablation clamp built like a vascular clamp. It has an in-line syringe-grip handle with a closure lever and release button, insulated jaws with linear gold electrodes, an attachment tip on the distal jaw for the Glidepath guide, and a cable connector to the AtriCure generator.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
Surgical ablation for atrial fibrillation (Maze). The clamp goes around the pulmonary veins or across atrial tissue through a small atriotomy. Tissue is clamped inside the indicator lines and the footswitch is pressed; a steady tone sounds while current flows and turns intermittent when the lesion is done. The lesion shows white and stays within the jaw width.
Sizes & variants
The lengths, angles and patterns it comes in.
EMR2 and EML2. Jaws come in different lengths and curves.
