Kyphon Bone Filler Device
Also called Bone Filler Device, Cement injection cannula
A nozzle and plunger for putting bone cement through the working cannula. The nozzle has an exit marker and three position markers 1 cm apart; the plunger has three evenly spaced markers. The ELEMENT pack holds three nozzles and three plungers; each nozzle takes up to 1.5 mL of cement.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
Cement delivery in kyphoplasty after the balloon is removed. Take the plunger out, fill the nozzle with cement and push cement to the tip to remove all air. Under imaging, advance the nozzle through the cannula to the void and check its position, then push the plunger to deliver the cement, and remove the device.
