Also called KYPHON XPANDER Inflation Syringe, Inflation syringe with a pressure gauge
A battery-powered screw-type inflation syringe: clear barrel with volume marks, a depress-release handle that turns the plunger, a backlit digital pressure display (PSI, ATM or MPa) with a selectable maximum of 400 or 700 psi, and pressure-rated tubing ending in a weighted swivel luer. Packed with a 30 mL locking syringe.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
Inflates the Kyphon balloon tamp. It is filled with contrast (60% recommended) through the swivel luer and connected to the balloon's inflation port; turning the handle inflates the balloon in controlled steps while the display shows pressure; turning counterclockwise deflates.

A08E (with locking syringe). One full handle turn moves about 0.49 mL at 0 psi. An optional V-Klip holds two syringes for working both sides at once.
