A long-handled elevator with a slightly angled, narrow blade with an oval, blunt tip. About 7 to 7 1/2 in; blades about 2-5 mm wide.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
Ear surgery: cutting and dissecting tissue in the middle ear and ear canal. In the postauricular approach for tympanoplasty the periosteum is incised to bone and lifted with a Lempert elevator.
