Adjustable eyelid speculum. Two wire (or solid) blades are spread apart by a knurled screw and stay open on their own. This version is placed from the nasal side of the eye.

Primary uses

What this instrument is on the table to do.

Holds the upper and lower eyelids open during LASIK and other eye surgery, such as cataract surgery. It does not retract the nose.

Blades about 11-17 mm, wire or solid, adult and child sizes; titanium LASIK adjustable model with an angled shaft and 13 mm solid blades, about 65 mm long (Sontec).
