Aims the 1.4 mm K-wires: down the center of the capitate into the 3rd metacarpal (barrel on the capitate head, saddle on the 3rd metacarpal); into the radial canal (saddle on the dorsal radius); and through the carpal plate's radial and ulnar screw holes into the 2nd metacarpal and the hamate (saddle on the 2nd or 4th metacarpal).
