Polyp Retriever
Also called Polyp grasper, Polyp-grasping forceps
Flexible endoscopic accessory: finger-like metal prongs inside a plastic tube (sheath). The prongs spread apart by themselves when pushed out of the end of the sheath.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
Passed through the working channel of a flexible endoscope (e.g. sigmoidoscope) to grasp and retrieve polyps or tissue after they have been cut free.
