prodisc C Vivo Introducer
Also called Introducer, Introducer, No Stop
An implant introducer with a proximal knob that tightens onto an introducer tip and an "UP" etching for orientation. It comes without a stop (IN1620) or with a stop (IN1621) that is set by a stop adjuster knob.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
Inserts the prodisc C Vivo (or prodisc C SK) disc implant. The introducer tip holding the implant is connected with its alignment tabs captured, and the proximal knob is turned clockwise with two fingers. The implant is lifted en bloc from its package tray, its midline lined up with the vertebral body midline, and advanced under lateral fluoroscopy to the posterior margin of the disc space. To release, the knob is turned three full turns counter-clockwise, the introducer is moved about 30 degrees off midline, and it is lifted away.
