Radial Broach
- System
- Pro
Side-specific (left or right) broaches for the distal radius in sizes 1-4. Each has a nose that enters the radial canal hole, cutting teeth and a dorsal collar, and fits the broach handle.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
Starting at size 1, each broach is driven with a mallet until its dorsal collar is flush with bone, checked on fluoroscopy, and sizes are increased up to the chosen radial trial. For cement, the radius is broached one size larger than the implant (size 4 for a size 3 implant).
