An instrument that locks onto the pedicle screw head and pushes the rod down into it. Firebird has a hand rod reducer whose tip slides over the screw body with pins seating in its indents, and a tubular rod reducer with a slotted tip, an outer reduction sleeve and a drive knob.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
Seats the rod fully in the screw body when it sits too high. The set screw is then started with the short set screw holder/driver.

Firebird Rod Reducer 52-1755; Tubular Rod Reducer 51-1989 (up to 28 mm of reduction) with optional Driver 51-1990 that fits a ratcheting handle. Kim/Vaccaro describes a trigger-squeeze persuader with a cannulated shaft for the screwdriver.
