A ring-handled clamp with a ratchet and long, fairly slender shanks. The straight jaws are serrated on the half nearest the tip and end in 1x2 teeth: one tooth on one jaw fits between two on the other.
Primary uses
What this instrument is on the table to do.
Clamps small vessels deep in a wound and holds tonsil sponges. It can also carry a tie around tissue (a tie on a passer). The tip teeth give a firmer hold than a plain Adson clamp.
