Primary uses

Lateral transpsoas interbody fusion: placed on the lateral surface of the psoas at the target level, under direct view and biplanar fluoroscopy, and stimulated to check for nerves before the dilators go in. After the retractor is docked it is used again within and around the retractor to make sure no nerves are in the exposure.
