Tuffier Rib Spreader

A small rib spreader with two arms on a toothed bar. Turning a crank with a knurled knob moves one arm along the bar. The blades are short and wide, with roughened, grooved or scored faces that grip the ribs.

Spreads the ribs to open the chest during a thoracotomy.

Opens about 5⅞ to 6¾ in (15 to 17 cm). Blades about 1⅞ in wide x 2 in deep; arms 4¼ to 4½ in. Roughened blades (Jarit 300-150), grooved blades (Jarit 300-151), scored blades (Teleflex 341390).
