What it means
The NCLEX and many textbooks say "client" for the person who receives care, whether in a hospital, a clinic, a home or the community. It can also mean a family or a group. In a question, "the client" is the person whose care you are deciding.
For the nurse
Read questions about family members carefully: the client is still the person the care is for, and their wishes come first.
