What it means
A nonprofit organization whose members are the boards of nursing of the US states and territories. It develops the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN, publishes the test plans, runs the Nurse Licensure Compact that lets nurses in member states work across state lines, and writes guidance on delegation, professional boundaries and social media. Each state board, not NCSBN, issues the license.
