What it means
Nurses verify orders, doses, client identity, tube placement and allergies. On the exam, "verify" often means checking with the provider, the pharmacist or the order before acting when something seems wrong or unclear.
For the nurse
When an order is unclear or a dose looks unsafe, verify it with the prescriber before giving the drug.
