This is one card.

Front and back, as you would actually study it. There are 3,177 of them.

What is it?
Jansen-Middleton Septum Forceps
Also known asJansen-Middleton Septum Rongeur · Jansen-Middleton Nasal Rongeur · Jansen-Middleton Septum Cutting Forceps
Primary usesDissects and removes nasal tissue, mainly from the septum, as in a septoplasty.
InsightsAn angled, double-action forceps with a long curved handle and a spring between the handles. The jaws are oval cups, either solid spoon-shaped cups or through-cutting cups that punch out a clean piece.
Inspection & testingLook for loose or missing screws and pins and a weak spring. The jaws should open and close smoothly without sticking or grinding, with no pits or cracks at the cutting edge. A double-action rongeur should make a clean bite through an index card.
Passing techniqueHold it at the middle and place the handle firmly in the surgeon's palm, angled the way it will be used. Let go only when the surgeon has it.
CautionIt has pins, springs and screws that can work loose, and a loose part can drop into the wound.

Reading a card is not knowing it.

1
Learn itFlashcards on any tray. Miss one and it is back in minutes; own it and it is back in weeks.
2
Check itA practice test built from the live catalogue: identify it from a photo, name what it is for, spot what does not belong.
3
Prove itEvery instrument on the tray, timed and scored, so you find out whether you really know it before the day it counts.

Free either way: the General setups in full, every instrument's photos and uses, and 5 questions a day. Start there

Ten minutes a day until it is boring.

Every day it tells you what is slipping and how much to do about it, and counts down to the date you set. The closer the exam, the more it gives you.
