Ankle Distraction Strap

Ankle Distractor Strap · Ankle Arthroscopy Distraction Strap · Noninvasive Ankle Distraction Strap

A sterile nylon strap with soft, nonslip foam pads that wraps around the heel and top of the foot. A ring or clip at the end links it to the noninvasive ankle distractor on the table. One size fits all.

  • What it’s for

    Pulls gently on the foot to open the ankle joint (noninvasive distraction) so the surgeon can see and work inside it during ankle arthroscopy. When no pull is needed it can just hold the limb in position, as in an arthroscopic Brostrom repair.

  • Lengths and variants

    Single-use sterile straps, usually one size; used with a noninvasive ankle distractor that clamps to the table. When the joint is tight, invasive pin distraction may be used instead.
