    Placed under the patient to soak up fluid and protect the linen and the patient's clothing. In manual vacuum aspirationas-puh-RAY-shunBreathing food, liquid, saliva or stomach contents into the airway and lungs; also, drawing fluid out with suction or a needle.Full entry (MVA) it goes under the patient's buttocks before the aperture drape is placed over the vulva. It is also used under the area during wound care and other procedures.

  • Lengths and variants

    Medline's blue disposable underpad comes in 17 x 24 and 23 x 24 inches; larger sizes and heavier absorbency grades are sold too.
