How do I review flagged shifts and pending cases?
Everything waiting on you is under Review in your portal, on two tabs: Cases and Hours. If you've been limited to certain classes, you see only those.
Cases
A case arrives as pending after a student submits it. Open it, check it, and Approve or send it back with a note. Only approved cases count toward a student's totals.
A preceptor's signature on a case is their attestation that they supervised it. It does not approve the case on its own unless you've turned that on in your program's settings.
Hours
A shift arrives one of two ways:
- Pending: a normal shift waiting for you, or approved automatically if you've left that setting on.
- Flagged: something about the shift needs a human. The reason is written on the shift: location services were off, the clock-in was outside the site's radius (with the distance), the site had no map coordinates, or the student chose a custom site.
Flagged is not "rejected". Tap Verify to see both clock points on a map next to the facility, then approve or edit.
Corrections
You can edit a shift's times or site. The original values are kept on the record, so a correction is never mistaken for tampering.
A shift with an alert stays marked. If you approve a flagged shift and later revoke that approval, it returns to flagged, not to pending. The alert is part of the record.
Most flags come from one site
That usually means the site's radius is too tight, its map pin is off, or it's a hospital where GPS doesn't reach the door students use. Adjust the site in your program settings. Students can also fix their phones: GPS clock-in isn't working.
