How do I set up my class and invite students?
On this page
Three steps, all inside your program portal.
1. Create a class
From your portal home, add a cohort. Name it, set the term dates, and choose the accreditation standard (AST, NCCT or CC4SA) if it differs from your program's default.
2. Give it seats
A seat is one student's place. Choose how many students and for how long, then how to pay: card, invoice, or free. Students in a paid class get Pro for the length of the term. Students in a free class can log cases and hours but don't get Pro content. Details in Paying for seats.
3. Invite students
Paste your class list, one email per line. Each student gets an email and an invitation to accept. Nothing happens to their account until they accept, and each invitation holds a seat until it's accepted or you cancel it.
A student says the program page says "not found"
They signed in with a different email than the one you invited. Have them sign in with the invited address, or cancel that invitation and re-invite the address they actually use.
A student never got the email
Open them on your roster and Re-send. Re-sending also restarts the 90-day expiry. Students on school email should check their quarantine; the invitation also appears as a notification once they sign in with the invited address.
Once a student accepts, their class is fixed
Put someone in the wrong class? Cancel the invitation before they accept, or invite them to the right class as well. A student can hold a record in more than one class, and each record is separate.
Adding teaching staff
Use Add staff. You can limit an instructor to specific classes; they then see only those students, in the roster and in the review queue.
